Having read all =][=munda blogs on this forum, I decided to give it a go myself.

As a start, there is my Recongregationist Inquisitor. He's early WIP - I still have to fill gaps, add =][= symbols to his hammer and armour, cut the Black Templar cross off the bolter, fill gaps and perhaps add a bionic enhancement to his head. Here is the pic:

What kind of henchmen have you got in mind for him?

I'm not so sure about the henchmen yet - my mind was rather flooded with ideas for Inquisitors, so I simply had to start one. Actually, I'm pretty tied up with some Pirates for Mordheim at the moment, so the =][=munda stuff will have to wait until I have some time to think about the fluff for the Inquisitor, which will hopefully give me some inspiration for the henchies.
I'd love to do a Sister Repentia, who is sick of repenting, with a C'Tan phase sword, though

Perhaps you should tie them into one big blog, every single one of them.

Here is another one. Her sword is a little supersized, but I think it looks quite nice... I read somewhere that the C'tan Phase Sword is actually a rift in the warp, so she should be able to wield this thing.
I'm not very sure about it, so perhaps I will make it a little smaller. What do you think?

Well, the angle of the photo makes judging the actual size almost impossible... A picture from the side, where we can see the size compared to her, would help.

Other than that, looks like an interesting start.

This is looking very promissing the only thing i have to say, and this is just my opinion, is the sword just doesn't look sharp it may be the pic or me going crazy but like i say it's just my opinion.

Yeah, the edge of the sword is another issue... it was my first attempt on using plasticard. How do you go about making it look sharp? How do you work it at all? Just cutting, or a lot of filing?

I would surgest cutting the edges for an example you could look at the swords orks use they always seem to have a sharp looking edge.

its a great start you have there. one day soon, when i have time, i am going to finish my gang... and paint them... and even play a quick test match... and trumpets will sound... and light will part the clouds... and a great fanfare and marching band with elephants will tromp through the streets... and i've clearly not slept enough recently its affecting my mind.

Wow! Now that´s a big blade! It does look exceedingly large... The length isn´t so bad, but I think if you made it slimmer, it would look more appropriate.

Take a look at the power swords out there. They´re big and clunky, but they are more or less the same width along the length of the blade.

As for working with plasticard, I usually cut it, rather than file or sandpaper it. Lay it flat on a good surface, and then put the blade of your knife at an angle, and cut along the side of it. Takes some practice to get the angle right, but it does work.

That´s all I can think of for now, hope you can use some of it, keep up the good work.

(BTW, IronKing, I totally agree. This =I= stuff is a masterful thief of time. But fun!)

I would in your shoes go for a sleeker, thiner blade.

I finally finished my pirates and got bored, so I had a look at the FW stuff I purchased recently. It seems that the Renegade Militia, even though claiming to be a conversion kit for the Cadians, is much more realistically and thus smaller modelled than the Cadian infantry... Perhaps this will look less weird when I attach arms as well (I only had a test fitting with legs)?

Anyway, I wondered if I had any models that would fit the scale better and thought of the WHFB flagellants. So, here's the result (plus the left over part of the Eviscerator of the lady above)

The KATANA shave works well. Simple and effective conversion. When do we see paint??

Paint will probably take a while, since I'll soon be travelling for some weeks... and I'm a really slow painter.

And another update. I wanted to use the flagellant torso as well, so I decided to make a rogue psyker. He shall be hovering in the air eventually, with chains dangling from is neck, arms and perhaps ankles (as if he had just broken free):



I further added some "I"'s to the Inquisitor, but don't know if I will go through the trouble to try making the 3 small strokes in the middle of the letter:

Excellent stuff! I actually hadn´t seen the update on the sword, it´s looking superb now.

And the new guys are looking mighty good too. In an evil twisted coldhearted way of course..
