Going to start working on the base . Urban rubble is probably the direction I am going.
Should I Magnetize the feet to the base or glue it down?
I don't see a huge advantage in magnetizing except maybe storage.
Thoughts ?

Glue it. Gives you more ability to give it an unstable but cool pose (maybe? it is together already I guess).

Sweet work man! I especially love the stripes and the metalwork.

It is still fully pose able , i was thinking about a more dynamic pose ( within reason) so glue would probably be the best way to go.
Thanks for the feedback . Bonus coming on the 19th thinking either two knights or imperial guard update.
Really enjoyed this model. I'm kind of torn

Working on the base .
Hard to pose this sucker when it comes to the knee joints so I am looking to do a more layered effect.
Probably cut around the feet to make impact craters .
Comments and suggestions?

It's super hard to tell anything in that photo. Is there enough play to have him stomping something?

Not really. I took the picture that way so you could see the base versus the model .
I tired for a good twenty minutes with my bit box to have it crushing something.
That is why a top layer with a cut away to show damage is the best way to go.
Just an early WIP but I'm done for the night. No glue yet

Should I get a knight kit or two packs of scions and the new vehicle kit? Or one scion ,one bullgryn, and the new vehicle.
Money is starting to burn a hole in my pocket.
Suggestions?
I'm personally leaning towards a knight kit but the scions are bad ass

I'm sticking with a little brother knight for the Levithan. And a pack of scions. I'm helpful like that.

I have always been a glue first paint second kind of modeler. I am going to start the Ogryns tonight and it will be the first time I have ever painted then glued.
How do you guys typically paint?
I am doing all three heads first , then bodies , then gun arms.
Pretty stoked to start.
Stay tuned

So what do you guys think?
Also as soon as these three are 100% done it will be knight times two .
I'm very excited to build and paint those . Stay tuned and please leave me some feedback on the faces.
I'm using a nee technique for flesh and need to know what you guys think before I start the bodies of the Ogryns.
Thanks as always

I think they look good. The heads themselves are a bit derpy, but I guess that makes sense with them being what they are.

Not sure I follow about the derpy part. They obviously are the dumb ox of the imperium but I think the sculpt reflex angry stupid more the stupid stupid.
Anyway glad you like the painting.

It's a funny thing, I've always wanted Ogryns just because of how they looked. The old models were really expensive and metal so as soon as a plastic kit came out I knew I would buy them. They probably are not worth their points in the actual game but that is really not why I got them.
The kit itself has so many options that after you build whatever type you want it's almost sad to see the wasted bitz on the spure.
I will be using the shields and plates but at least 5 heads and arms go to waste.
Oh well. Really great kit

Glue first, paint second?
Paint then glue?
What for is this 'paint' that you speak of? 'Tis truly known that glue first, put on shelf second is the way of things.......
And furthermore, what are "wasted bitz on the sprue".......Wasted bitz? WASTED BITZ? That truly is heretical talk, there is only "moar bitz".....
Oh yeah - flesh on the heads looks good
