My local GW is holding an Apocalypse Tournament next month. Its doubles, each partner gets 1500 pts and a strategic asset. The event is supposed to take 2 days, with them giving each match a time limit of 3 hours lol. My partner will be playing the Necrons and I the Space Marines. We are somewhat in the dark on what would be good lists that will work well together but let me know what you think.

Strategy is too let the Marines deal with assault and farther objectives while the Necrons supply firepower and take down and large armor. Any advice appreciated .

Gives me 35 points left...Just wondering, for an Apoc game, should we be more worrying about taking out mass amounts of troops, or bring more heavy weapons to the table to take out tanks/superheavies?
