Working on some SM-bikers. The command-squad got a standart-bearer and i thougth about an appropriate banner.
Now this would be easy for the established chapters, but mine is a DIY ( WS successor) so I'm not sure which way
to follow .

As loyalists, the banner may field some imperial symbols + a representation of the chapter badge.

Any idea how to arrange it?
- Half it, or quarter it?
- 1x background color?
- 1x dominant symbol + some minors?
- company as number or color?

ideas welcome

Paint the snake on his side to the banner then have a sword in the back

So sword 'n snake...

Nice. But should be different to the symbol of the apothecarion.

Any other idea?

It stays for now.
May only change if i replace the plastic command banner with a cavalry standart.

I'm a stubborn loyalist so: "burn those painting chaos symbols on 4ok minis"

Eagle + snake would be US, so no. Still Scars successors, more orientated to Asia.

Sword n snake seems nice, but has a little problem with the theme of mounted Troops and their use of hacking/slashing weapons.
Tried my luck with sabres.

On another point:

The old bike kits had some small pennants, still you get the "antenna", so should i do some pennants to differ the squads?

The grim darkness of the far future

A viper coiled around a sword was an ancient symbol for medicine, so it might look a little silly ontopof a biker whos sole purpose in life is to shoot things. It would look ridicoulously cool on an apothecary though. The banner looks really good but could i suggest putting some smaller images on the sides such as imperial eagles, squad markings etc.
