Actually I think a lot of this model would fit right in with the Tau, it has a similar design to a lot of their stuff.

That's pretty awesome, except for those fins around the turret, they look unfinished.

Thats exactly what I thought. I dunno how big that is compared to 40k but if it was big enough I could totally see that as a tau titan. If there were such a thing lol

omg. is there a site where you can get zoids? i tried finding them a while back when i was attempting to make a warhound and decided a total scratch build would be too much work lol.

and mind doing a scale shot with a gw model?

In margine insaniae.

I found them awhile back with google image when I was looking for alternate talos or brass scorpion. Scale i have no idea. There was someone else on dakka that actually owned the models ( he had 2 different scale ones ) maybe search brass scorpion thread in news and rumors , its in there.

That would be me, with the Deathpion(smaller white, brown and blue ones) and Death Stinger(large blue one) in this pic(not my pic, but I do own the 2 Zoids in question, bought to see which would make a good Brass Scorpion before FW released theirs).

Leman Russ? Hell no! That's a Blood Pact Stalk Tank right there!

I recently purchased one of these from Amazon, and I have assembled it "out of the box" without any conversions. I am going to convert it, but the piece is "snap fit" and so I wanted to see and feel what I was working with before I started to slice it up etc.

Anyway, the model is too small to be a Titan in 40K scale - it is a true 1:72nd scale (a six foot man is precisely one inch tall) and the cockpit in the head fits a single figure. The paws are narrower and longer than a US quarter.

I think this model would make a good medium tank proxy, or a heavy Dreadnought. Not a Titan.

(I have not posted precise measurements, because i) I do not have the model with me right now and ii) I dunno what the forum's policy on measurements is.)

It is a very nice model - very detailed, easy to assemble. It would be a cool thing to have in a Space Wolf army. This is the Highend Master Model, and is detailed and expensive. There are much cheaper versions of the Command Wolf available - they are not as detailed, but might work for "regular" tanks with this one being the command tank.

One comment; this model is poseable and can be moved around like an action figure. This has produces a couple of problems for the 40K modeller. Firstly, my personal preference is for models which are solid and static, so it would have to be glued together. Making sure each piece is in the right place for the final "pose" to look right is difficult - there are lots of tiny adjustments needed.

Secondly, much of the movement is provided by low-friction rubbery pieces. I don't think they will take glue well. Movement is not provided by them deforming, but rather by them not jamming. I am going to re-machine new pieces from fragments of sprue and plasticard for my assembled version.

Having said all this, this is a LOVELY kit. I was VERY impressed by it. It wasn't cheap for the size when compared to other models (and the instructions are all in Japanese) but it was a joy to put together, the plastic and moulding is good quality (heavy and dense stuff - better than the GW materials if I might say!) It is impossible to assemble this model incorrectly - all the pieces ONLY go in a single place unless you force it and snap pins etc.

Anyway, there you go - I was doing searches for this model before I bought it, found this thread, and decided I would come back and give a mini "review" when I got it! I tried to register, and then realised I already had an account!

I am now going to go read the rules on posting measurements, just in case any of you guys ask questions about how big it is!

Thanks for the size info, Darknight, sounds like this would be a good counts-as Predator for 40k. But don't show any GW staff unless you want to see them choke...

Very much so.

When I worked for GW a few years ago Inquisitor was just coming out. A friend of mine (who worked there) used a 54mm Terminator T-800 figure, but used a 40K bolt weapon as a pistol. He always maintained the model was built around the bolt weapon .... the rest of it was just "details"

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1
