Here are a few pics of my Nurgle Defiler. It was entered into the Australasian Golden Demon Competition a few years back and made it to the finals, but unfortunately (for me) the staff handling the model broke it before the final judging and so it was out of contention.

Great looking conversion - I think the head is especially effective. It would be great to see a few more photos (I'll check the gallery).
Interestingly, out of 4 models I've had in the Oz GD finals, the staff have broken 3 of them (and to add insult to injury, badly glued two back together - and I mean badly...)
What are they using for staff over there? Howler monkeys? I note from your sig you are a Kiwi too - maybe we had won a test match just before the event...

The texture on that thing is unbelievable, just reeks of nurgle and is delightfully overdone as befits a centerpiece. Do you have a nurgle army painted or just this one model?

I'll just echo the compliments, that is really ace. The texture work you've done is amazing. It's very clearly nurgle, without being over the top or gaudy. Great stuff, kudos!

That is some awesome greenstuff work on that model.

Thank you all for your kind comments. When it come to greenstuff I really just play with it. My main sculpting tools are a pin, my triangular modelling blade and a stout modelling scriber. Remember to keep your tools thoroughly wet to stop the greenstuff sticking. Oh, and if your greenstuff comes in a ribbon, remember to cut out the strip where the yellow meets the blue as it is partly cured and will ruin your parts.
The best way to practice scupting without expense and waste is by using bluetack, it models almost exactly the same way as greenstuff although it is slightly softer.
Yes, I was disappointed that my model was broken before final judging and when I look at the class winners that year I feel positive that I was in the running for a demon, but it was not to be. I had an email from a former Golden Demon winner in oz saying three out of four of his WINNING models had been broken.
The defiler itself has had a huge amount of work, all the Chaos Undivided logos have been removed and replaced by nurgle icons, the ball joints on the legs have been pitted and painted to look like bone, and the legs themselves have had muscle texture applied to the insides of the framework. The leg armour has been reshaped and split and each has a unique nurgle texture. The rear of the Defiler is weighted to allow it to stand on its four legs, for a dynamic "claws at the ready" look.
Before I sent the model away I had a count up of all the mods and sculpts I had done on the model...there are over a hundred.
In regards to the paint...it was a bit rushed for the competition and with more time I could have achieved better.
