Good Morning,

So, set up a new army list with the new IG codex. Rummaged around in my collection for a suitable 'new' commander(change is good) and found something i'd bought a while back but never did anything with. Kal Jericho. So i started painting Commander Jericho, but ive ran into a snag, I've painted the 'pants'/trousers grey i looked at highlighting but its really just the tree trunk leg and not much folds etc. So my question is, what would you do in that situation. Also, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry the lighting is rubbish it was taken quickly with my camera this morning. Gonna set up my nikon D80 at the weekend for taking better pics.

Edit: Just to clarify, its a WIP. Havent started on the weaponry.

That is one cool model, perfect for a wide variety of uses.

Anyway, I'd generally try and put my own folds in, using careful washes and subtle highlights. It's a difficult one, as with the more contemporary sculpts many of the legs do have wide areas of... well blankness.

Good luck, I'll have a think and try and get back to you later.

"And what is wrong with their life? What on earth is less reprehensible than the life of the Levovs?"
- American Pastoral, Philip Roth

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

You can leave it flat or draw in your own folds by highlighting as if there was raised edges .
