hey guys,
i've decided to start collecting SM. Ive got tonnes of CSM but ive never played for the emperor!
my army is going to be a neew chapter, known as the redeemed. not going to prattle on about fluff but heres the basics:"they were good, then turned bad, then turned good!"
so yeah, Ive got quite a few bits mostly second-hand scouts and dev's. Im going to be using some chaos space marine figs, but with tonnes of space marine and inquisition iconography. all im waiting for is the thumbs up from the manager of my FLGS whitch i SHOULD get today and then a few HQ's and ima all set!

Is nice dakka. Methinks it needs a paintjob baaaaaad! Mabey red, with a big kannon on top. *nods yes.* Or perhaps blue..

After looking at your color selection, you may be better off by simply priming the model black. Greens and purples will cover over black with little difficulty. Also, since this is a particularly large model, buying a can of Tamiya plastic model spray would make your job infinitely easier. If you have the $$$, an airbrush makes big projects like this so much easier.

i might if more people vouch for it. it would suit my paint scheme better but does it go so well with a slaanesh army and may ruin the model????

Also its not to late. Its paint my friend, just paint over it and try again. If its too heavy there, sand it down.... then try again. ALSO its spelled tons....not tonnes.
BUT enough nit picking I like your idea of the redeemed. Very good. Also it gives you a perfect explanation why you use chaos marines to make them. Personally I think the CSM minis have WAAAAAAAAAAY more stuff on them an look cooler for conversions then regular SM. Ill watch this and see where it goes

He is from Britain and that is how they spell it there. The same goes for Colour instead of Color and Armour instead of Armor.

More on topic: I agree that you should prime the model black. It will give it a darker look. The white makes it look to bright.

Oh dear. You've gone and done the classic American thing by not realising that there are not only different spellings for the same thing, but that there are (at least) four types of "ton" - a tonne (Metric), a long ton (Imperial), a ton longweight (not used today) and a short ton (used in the US).

Here endeth the lesson.

Um you cant use a super heavy in a normal game it doesn't have a option for a multi melta and chronos is a space marine he goes in space marine tanks not guard tanks

you what now? can i still use it sans the mukti melta and chronus?

But the expression on the almost dead catachan's face is nice.

Stormlord can be used as a Space Marine super heavy as I remember as can a Baneblade,Shadowsword.

But hardly anyone uses a Super Heavy in a normal game.

No army lists in here please its a WIP thread pics and other stuff yea but not army lists that belongs in the aptly named army list thread.

Well, Diorama looks OK, However I am against the notion that SHs can be used in standard games, you wouldn't let someone use Stratagems in a non-CoD game, would you?
