Luckily for me, Grey Knights are pretty simple to paint. I used a basecoat of Boltgun metal, and then picked out all my details (Shining Gold, Red Gore, Bleached Bone, White) and then gave it a slight badab black wash, finished with a Mithril Silver highlight. Did it come out ok? I think it did. Now i just have to decide how I want to base it. Probably good ol' PVA and sand with a coat of paint and it will be done!

you should consider taking a micro pen and "writing" on the purity seals and book on his chest. Even just some squiggles on them would add some nice fine detail to the model

I like it, the details don't get lost in the reflections off the silver. It's very good!

Not a bad paint job at all, but he's not very "grey" for a Grey Knight. Looks more like an Iron Warrior to me.

Yeah, I have often wondered why GK are more silver... but this was the recommended scheme in the DH codex. It looks good though, imo.

I finished the squad... paintwise at least. I need to base them all, but here are the rest of the Grey Knight squad.

Looks awesome! I've always like the look of the Grey Knights but I remember when I started to collect a Witch Hunters army I painted my Justicar and Torquemada Coteaz and couldn't be arsed finishing them all.. so I sold them

U didn't decide to go with the purple power sword? hehe =)

Lol, no purple pig-stickers for me. I prefer the look of bare steel.

i see the purity seals now have writing on them, looks good. the only other thing i can think of is possibly thinning your paints just a bit. The area around the gun barrels looks a bit think, but other than that, good looking squad you got there.

Hope to see more soon

Ugh, I hate trying to paint whole squads. Independent characters are so much better, because I can focus on a single model and don't have to worry about replicating a single paintjob or effect on X amount of other models...

Thanks for the comments!

I like it, especially the darker tone to them, makes them ominous like the Daemonhunters are supposed to be.

I won't bother.

So do you think I should use a blood red highlight on those scab red purity seals and gun casings, or leave them dark to match the theme?

It might just be good photography, but the metallic paint looks a lot more... Well, metallic and glossy than I'm used to. Really nice!

Is it regular Citadel paint?

Well.... yes and no. The base metallic is Vallejo Gunmetal. The highlight is GW Mithril Silver though. I kinda prefer the Vallejo Gunmetal to the GW Boltgun, because it goes on smoother.

So nobody thinks I should highlight Blood Red over the purity seals and weapon casing?

You could go for the highlights, just don't go overboard? The rest of the models are pretty muted, even though they're metallic/glossy.
