here are some pics of a new guard project I'm working on. I want to eventually get Valkries for the whole army and make them an airborne unit.

What type of green are they?

Where did the backpacks come from? I know Pig Iron makes some.

WOw I'm really digging the models, did all the weapons come from pig iron?

The backpacks come from Maxmini, the heads are the only pigiron component, the rifles are the standard ones from the plastic cadien box, I just modified them with plastic rod and GS,shortened them. The heavy bolter I scratch built, with the ammo box from the plastic GW heavy bolter added. I especialy like the Maxmini backpack set; it is relatively inexpensive and comes with all sorts of extra pouches and stuff, much nicer looking than the pigiron kit.

They look great! What is the larger weapon one of your soldiers is carrying? It looks like a modified heavy bolter.

Those are the Kolony milita heads right? Are you planning to use any of the unhelmeted ones on officers, etc.?

The larger weapon is a scratchbuilt heavy bolter. I guess the pics don't show all that clearly, it has a hydraulic arm attached to a backpack device, sort of based on the smart-gun from Aliens. I realy don't like attaching 2 figures to one base,which is how standard heavy weapon teams are. I find that it causes difficulties when you play, like tring to position that big,round base on a narrow walkway in somebodies city terrain, or when a member of the weapon crew is removed as a casualty. I was looking for ways to get around that conundrum. I do plan on useing the PigIron command heads, probably I will combine them with the new plastic command squad from GW. I would also like to use the other heads in that pack,maybe for vehicle crew, or for a morter crew or something. Great work on the weapons, these guys really stand out.

love those heads . i used the rebel heads with gas masks for my army! they work so great! good job mate!

These models are totally Killzone inspired; I've been hooked on Killzone 2 online for the last several weeks, I'm looking forward to doing some Helghan looking snipers, like the ones in the game. Thanks again for all the comments!
