So i figured I'd post up my first paint job ever here to get some tips and critics. Only the middle XV is finished the others still need some touch ups + stripes/camo. I see that i have to work on the FW feet a bit more but and i tried to use ink to bring out the details. I'M also working on a minor kroot conversion mixing them with Dire avengers because i wasn't too fond of the whole 'bird creature' look they had... I'll put those up in a bit. Well, comment away!

I can't see many details from that range, but it looks like you need some shading. Try a wash of Gryphonne Sepia or Devlan Mud. Both go well with orange/brown, but I prefer the former.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I agree, it needs a little shading. Any chance of some closer pics?

Oh, and basing. They could use a quick basing:

Elmers glue (or other PVA) and some potting soil / fine sand with a coat of paint would be a good start, followed by a lighter colored drybrush FTW.

Finish their bases - it completes the model and makes a big difference.

Nuclear: Properly pronounced new-clear, not new-cue-lir. There is no 'u' between the c and l, so stop saying it because it just makes you sound like a dumbass. This includes nucleolus, and all other derivatives of the word.

Looks really good so far. You already heard the tips above about shading.

About the pictures. I was able to click on them and zoom in to see a good bit of detail. You pictures are fine.

Thanx for sharing!
