So, what's the only thing more boring than Ultramarine tactical squads?
Ultramarines Rhinos, of course!
I had to overpaint the decals, because they just wouldn't set right, but I kind of dig how they look.

Awesome Domitar there, Barzam. ...except stop tempting me to buy the damn things!
Nothing wrong with those Rhinos, either! Especially two done in a month.
These were finished by me in August. I took the photos last month, then ended up taking a break from blogging after trimming them in photoshop and then didn't even bother to upload them until this morning. I'll get caught up in the next couple of weeks, which will include the maintenance of this thread and the monthly showcase posts. Until then, here's a couple of models.

Well done guys, keep those brushes working!
A break from regiments for me this month, working on two characters. Well, first one is done, here is Gunnar Gunnarson, leader of my dwarf gunners.
And the other character, predictably maybe, is this chap. Minor alteration - removed the skull poking out of his shoulder, it's now gently resting against the rock.

Some awesome stuff up there. Mana Press' picture reminds me of Far Cry Primal a little (Cool Cars as well!) and Huginn's dwarf is sublime. Great 54mm Deathwatch and Mechanicum/Forge Father/Robot stuff as well.
I've finished my Undead entry for this month (September) as well, and photographed them.
More here and a lot more here.
I spent an hour or so updating the monthly showcases this morning. I'm about 2 pages behind, but July is done and August is almost done. Seems to be a lot of missing submissions for July, so if I've missed any or you've forgotten to post your stuff up, please feel free to do so now (please note that it's your July entry) and I'll get those done and fixed up ASAP.

I finally completed the Devastator squad, which was the last full squad needed for my first demi-company:
I also finished the captain, who is resplendent in all of his third edition glory:
One interesting fact here is that I used the new GW gemstone technical paints, and I really liked how they look. The green gen on his chest, the eyes of the backpack eagles, and even the power nodes on the sword are all hit with one of them.
When I began my major rehabilitation project, half the vehicles were the older MK I style, and I decided that I wanted my Ultramarines to use the newer kits. Instead, I broke out my Emperor's Children Brass etch and turned them into second line vehicles for my 30k force:
Rhinos:
The original Vindicator, which has held up amazingly as a model!
I should be able to finish a Dreadnought for my Demi-company this month, and hopefully my Betrayal at Calth tactical squads.

I was going to post that blue power swords were de rigeur in 3rd edition, but looking at some old catalogs at Stuff of Legends, plenty of models had either red power weapons or, more commonly, metallic sliver power weapons. I might try a nice pure metallic.
