I've only been playing around with greenstuff for a few weeks now on occasion, and Nurgle is quite 'forgiving' when it comes to modelling & painting, crude though it may be. So far it's all very experimental and my Death Guard force is all about trying out various painting & modelling techniques.

The battle cannon is indeed the orifice in it's chest, acting as the apex of the triangular orb Nurgle rune. I didn't like the jutting plastic battle cannon and so covered it with greenstuff. I didnt like that either, so snipped & sawed it back & made it more of a lump,.

I can imagine it like a vast, deep infected matter filled sore vomiting forth a shower of acidic blood, bile & pus. The tentacle like intestine is just that; intestiney & tentacley. It's chaos - it doesn't have to make sense

More tentacles to follow perhaps, or maybe some wires. It's stil la WIP & is really there to have fun with.
