Hmm, tough one. I'm gonna go with one.

Neither. I like the Leman Russ as it is.

That's hardly the question though, is it?

Sure, But i'm just stating that I like the original over the two real world tanks he decided to put up as a better alternative.

Yeah, and I'm just stating that your opinion on the existing leman russ is irrelevant.

Looks like a Merkava to me (maybe even a mk2). Very distinctive turret shape.

What's #2? Challenger 2?

I'd go with #2. Has the blockhead shape more readily associated with 40k.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I think the Merkava would be a better Russ shape.

I say number 2 due to the more pronounced details on it. It looks more boxy and "Imperial Guard" than the other one.

I'm not really 100% familiar with the models, but when I first saw it I thought it already was an Imperial Guard tank

number 1 is cooler looking, but I think 2 goes better with the blocky looking leman russ look.

I would say #2. It's bulky enough to be reminiscent of the current LR model.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Actually I think a better alternative would be a WW2 tank. The Soviet tanks such as the Large Turret KV2, the regular KV2 or KV1 or even a JS2 are all excellent choices or the British tanks such as the Cromwell Mark IV, Centaur Mark IV or Crusader Mark III are all also good choices and fit better with the GW style. The newer medel tanks do not really fit in with the look and style of GW with a larger, somewhat chunkier style. Using the WW2 tanks above you get a much better looking vehicle that while still a bit bulkier is not ridiculous looking like the GW Leman Russ.
