Las Vegas

Did you dip this?

If not your shading is good.

If you're going for table-top quality they look good.

Detail suggestions: Dark mouth and a red tongue help bring out the face. I also prefer a brighter red on the eye. I would suggest an alternate color/shade shirt or pants to contrast a bit with each other (unless these are Snakebite Orks).

Then go for some highlighting.

Beyond that just look at others images in the gallery and start to apply what you like until you find your own style for Orks. As you paint and get more experience you'll pick out more and more of the details you want.

Well done and a great start. Look forward to more.

Oh and go back over areas that have mistakes (i.e. the right shoulder with silver on it) mistakes are distracting and takes the observer out of appreciating the model.

I like the pants, but the skin and "red" bits lack enough contrast to make the model speak to me.

Hmm... I will be a bit more detailed than that. The skin looks pretty good, but the pastel in the red, makes it feel a bit out of place.

The straps are a bit odd, but nothing a coat of sepian wash cant fix. Devlan mud can be used on the pants, but it may change the color drastically if you are not careful.

"Note"
you drilled the gun-tips.

Nope no dipping on this one, I thought the darkness of the stain would darken the colors a little too much. I hear ya about the shoulder. I didn't see it until I posted the picture. It will be fixed ASAP. I'm thinking I need to do a little color correction on the image, because the shirt is actually orange. And yes the barrels are drilled.

Take your pictures outside. Most digital cameras have a problem getting "true" color with artificial light.

I will do that tomorrow. Thanks for the tip on that.
