In case you can't tell from the horrible cellphone pics, he is doing a wheelie (spare gun drone flying base chopped in half) and is holding a helmetless Tau head by the hair.
Does anyone know how to model blood and bolter wounds?

Yep, you're right. That is quite a crappy picture. Could I suggest against using the flying base? It would be better if the bike had clear air between the wheel and the ground so that it looks like a wheelie and not that the wheel is resting on something. You can do this by glueing the back wheel to the ground and it's probably best to pin the wheel to the base for extra support.

You probably don't need to model blood, just paint it on. As for bolter damage, either using a sharp knife to score lines or a small drill to make holes would do. There are probably tutorials on here for battle damage.

I actually tried it without the flying base twice. It broke under the weight both times, doing some damage to the wheel. I don't have any pins, but I'll try and pick some up and try that.
I'll consider using the knife, thanks much.

You don't need to buy anything to pin stuff. Just use paperclips!

Paper clips, nails, thin rod shoot Ive used thin speaker wire, and that worked too. I can really say anything on the mini itself, that cellphone camera is just as bad as mine is lol. Props for posting tho, alot of dakkites dont

I'd also point out that blood is the most easily-overused accent in miniatures, and can make a good paintjob into a horrible one just as easily as it can enhance it. The key with it is to pick realistic, dark or even brownish shades, not bright ones that make it look like ketchup.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

Thanks for the advice on the blood.
