I need some combi-flamers for my loyalist marines, and I have no idea what they look like or how to make one.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Jaric

Here's a rather complex tutorial... I'm trying to look for the simpler one I saw...

That guide was on making a combi-melta. I've never seen anything on combi-flamers on here, but it's still worth searching.

Wow complete failure on your part. The title of the thread he linked us to was ID's Combi-Flamer Tutorial. So kindly read that and kindly offer an apology to the above poster.

Ah itas quiet possible actually. I figured he ment the one you linked to. I did like the one you linked how ever. Seemed like a neat idea. Pity every one seems to start with a combi what ever when making combis instead of starting from scratch.

I know, right? I'm thinking of picking up a tac box and trying my hand at making one from a boltgun and flamer.

If you cut the barrel off the bolter and glue it on again further down ( i.e. in front of the textured hand grip) and then glue a flamer nozzle where the bolter barrel used to be, then remove the bolter magazine and glue it in the slide (sideways, like a sten gun) and then glue the flamer canister where the old magazine used to be.
Simple (i think).

You could get a little creative and make a flame pistol (combi weapons are one shot only ... I think...) or have a wrist mounted flame thrower? Or even more dangerously have a 'fire breath' weapon installed on the helmet of the marine lol.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I converted up some flamer pistols for my assault marines, its easy enough to do.

Take a bolt pistol, an IG flamer and an SM flamer.

Cut the head of the IG flamer, the head section has an angled back tapering up at the top. This v angle is what sells the model as itsd not a straight verticle ad on barrel change.

Cut the bolt pistol to match, this will involve removing the barrel at the bottom with an upoper cut removing the iron sight.

Next sever the bolt pistol magazine and replace it with the fuel cylinder from an SM flamer.

Done.

Hehe. We used to use that for the "optional overkill" house rule.

If your model is toughness (4) and it gets killed by something 2x strength... so say a strength 8 (or more) .....you put the small flamer template directly behind the casualty model...

any models underneat that template make a leadership test, or they spend the next turn wiping guts off their armor.

When I began writing my post, no links had yet been posted. However, I appreciate your attempts to instruct me on proper etiquette, and I'm sure you'll make an excellent policeman in about six years when you're legally old enough.
