At 500 posts, thought it was time to throw myself to the lions. This is a mostly finished 3rd Company Ultramarine Sergeant. He needs highlighting and basing, but other than that, any thoughts?

It looks good but i don't like the red plasma pistol end but if you keep it i would recommend some weathering on it.

Nice clean painting! Have you tried the new washes? they work wonders! Some asurman blue to the armour would add depth and shading and some baal red for (duh) the red parts or maybe ogryn flesh for a deeper richer colour, add the highlights and hey presto you have an even better looking model!

Ditto, keeping your lines clean is 9/10ths of the work with painting - especially marines. The washes are a great way to take that basecoat to the next level (gryphonne sepia or ogryn flesh for the gold!) and as you mentioned above, highlights give it really nice polish.

Great work, keep it up Flashman!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
