The only problem is that it stays clean about 10 minutes and then it looks like same as before.

If you have a hard time keeping organized (which sound like the real problem) I recommend either using bins to store your stuff or spread your mess out. If your mess is stored in a cubic foot, it will be quite obvious; on the other hand if you have the same mess across your entire room you are on par with about 90% of the universe, and you should be able to avoid most of the yelling.

I commend you for your courage. I'm far too afraid of spilling paint on my keyboard to paint near a computer. But yeah, I think it could use a bit of tidying.

Actually, my desk and modeling areas are pretty organized and NOT in my Mom's way . So I say get to it, Sir!

i about always paint around my computer......only had a paint spill once......copper paint all over a black keyboard.
actually managed to get most of the paint back in the pot, but my keyboard was kind a funky looking after that

My decision pretty much came down to a pricing comparison.

Its cleaner than my room at uni lets put it that way.

Each time I clean my workstation it ends up looking similar to that within a few hours. Hopefully you'll have better luck KEEPING it clean...

At least it's on one desk and can be swept into a storage box in ten minutes flat..

One of my buddies does very meticulous paintjobs on his Cadians and has all of his bitz stored neatly, but his room is scattered with CD's and books. It is a literal minefield to walk across..

Honestly I HAVE to keep my stuff organized and put in the right place. I have a short term memory problem, and if something isnt where it should be, Ill literally loose it in about..... 20 secs lol.

I agree with yer mum. But its not like my desk/room looks any better.

I'm getting a couple of cheap glass shelves installed o my wall for the exact purposes of displaying models on the first shelf and putting all my stuff on the second. My desk looked like that and then I cleaned it.... And then I got a bunch of free stuff from someone I know and now it's like my room is at the end of some kind of weird warphole or warp storm....

She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed manifests in many forms...

The Girlfriend who may deny favors if her requests are rebuffed...

The Wife who may require couch-sleep as penance for disobeying...

The Mother who may clean your room for you, consuming any and all plastic bits in the Vacuum of Doom and the Trash Bin of Humility (as in digging in it In Humility to get your bits out of the coffee grinds).


Remember, these are harsh mistresses and are not mastered easily or for long. Homage to them requires citing the Boyfriend/Husband/Son-Grunt Litany of Remittance: "Yes Love/Wife/Mom, I will clean this mess right away. You are beautiful and kind, I bask in your mercy."

My missus keeps stepping on sprue and various parts once she threw a misplaced Power Sword at me I was like "Ohhhhh been looking for that"

the reply was a grimmace LOL ah my my the many perils of having non hobbist spouses and parents.
