I need a dreadnought for a game next month. And after some excruciatingly awkward moments I was able to think of a plan!

And so after maiming, and flagellating my friend I managed to convince him into selling me his AoBR dreadnought!
And luckily he's a BA so he painted it red, which suits me coz I'm an Evil Sunz guy...ork.

Still needs a lot of work, but at least I've started it. Been busy being lazy lately. Anyway most of the stuff I used and intend to use will come from the AoBR box and Ork BF.

I also plan on making one leg into a Power Foot, that way I'll just say that's his 3rd CCW if I buy the upgrade!

C&C please, thank you!

It's a good start. Some more orky glyphs would be nice, especially to cover up the purity seal on the ex-MM arm (and that will also help that arm look less like a MM). And I'd like to see some engine modifications, e.g. extra exhaust pipes etc.

Whether you make one leg into a Power Foot or not, it would be cool to add some replacement toes to at least one foot.

Hello!

What do you think of adding a winch to the end of the chain???
And I would replace one leg or the Sarcophagus with more orcious parts.
For example a 'looted' sentinel-leg for the cybot's leg...
And a mad Orc-driver instead of the Sarcophagus...

The C-K

P.S.: You also should change the colour to a more old, dirty and used look...

Good point, I've seen some nice looted dread conversions with Ork drivers replacing the Sarcophagus. With an assembled dread like this though, removing the Sarcophagus plate might be difficult...

It wouldnt be that hard at all. Use a dremel with a cutting disc. Itll make quick work of that. Im digging what youve got so far. The wrecking ball arm looks a little off. Maybe if you heated it up where the chain comes out of that spinny wheel thing, so you can lower the arm some and it still look like its swinging would be neat. If not, you can always replace it with real chain, and just super glue the links in what ever way you want to make it look more actiony. I just think the position makes it look weird.
So far tho, its pretty cool. Just dirty the pooh out of it, then itll be Orky

Two suggestions
One more ork bits and random plates of armor all over the dreadnought and a upgraded exhaust.
Two battle damage and lots of it. A ork will need to really kill a dreadnought to loot it.

Thanks for the feedback guys!! Unfortunately I've been feeling lazy lately, and all I managed to do was this:

I'm stumped, I've hit a mental block again. I can't think of a way to beef up the engine.

As usual comments, suggestions and violent reactions are welcome!

Both look amazing so far, The truck looks like a Humvee to me (SO COOL!), 2 or 3 o'those would look sweet in my Blood Axe Splinter clan. Look forward to seeing both finished.

Like the dread conversion so far, the legs are quite cool.

For the engine, I'd think giant turbo charged V who-knows-what-number-of-cylinders-this-thing-has with lots of exhaust pipes...

Just my 2 cents worth...

Both conversions are coming along well, but you might want to add more bitz (rails, etc.) to the plasticard you have on the trukk so it doesn't just look like a plasticard frame.
