so i`v just recently started building a chaos dreadclaw made from plasticard it took me about 4 weeks to build
and im very happy with the result for the plasticard i used evergreen model building plasticard it comes in al shapes and sizes
from square to round rods .

Loos very good, though your GS work looks a little rough - paint it up so we can get a better look!

@unistoo the gs is rough becouse its just for filling in the gaps when its strong enough i`ll outline it beter by cutting some of the gs away

i dont know the rules as of yet i havend had the chance to get my hands on imperial armour vrask campain vol 2.
But i did hear something about the chaos marines could re-embark the drop pod and re-enter somewhere
on the battlefield??(how cool a jump assault drop pod) and they can move shoot and assault when dis-embarking.

for the rest i think it has the same profile as a spacemarine drop pod (eccept it has no on board weapon).

ok so just a small update on the dreadclaw i`v made some exstra nails on the fins and made them stick togeter with
magnets yes the fins are held togeter useing magnets to the body 16 magnets in al, also there are going to be magnets on the bottom of the body so i can make it look like the dreadclaw has lifted up, i even did some pretty constuction work on the bottom of the dreadclaw
including the hatch.

im geussing you just pressed it in gs and let it dry?

wel you could make one from GS but i used a rubbermold made from liqued rubber its easyer to get it out.
but i did make a GS mold for the skulls.

hi back again for a new small update, i have redone the wings (the wings being the things with roman numbers on it) i used
the metal sliding part of a 9mm hobbyknife now i can set the wing up or down (landing and disembarking)

i will keep you all updated and will be painting it soon it will be a new addition for my iron warriors.

No doubt it cost less than the FW one, and you didn't have any issues with miscasts, either.

Do you have a template you could share with us? Or at least post some dimensions? It's the wing bits that're giving me the most trouble.

ok poeple i started painting the dreadclaw i`v made it for my iron warriors so pretty easy color scheme but im stuck with where to put the biohazard sign (you know the black and yellow stripes ).
so a little help would be very great.

I would definitely see the stripes on the fins (legs?), on the highest and lowest parts not the one where the fins join the pod.

I woudl darken the whoel thing by fillign some of the blanks in black (like around the chaos stars for example). I agree that the hazard lines shoudl be used sparingly. Maybe just the top section of the stands?

Well done with the plasticard work, that must have been some delicate knifery to get your lines that perfect. Also, using hobby knife parts to make sliding wings like that is pure genius, I wish I'd thought of it.

To the dollar store for a dozen box cutters! I've got Dreadclaws to make!
