I've been putting together my Grey Knights army for the better half of a year now, and i've just finished painting my brother-captain Stern. I'd like to know what you guys think of the color scheme or if anyone out there could give me some pointers. I'm not the greatest painter in the world to say the least, so any constructive criticism would really be appreciated!

(PS~ I'm aware the paint is a little chipped, and i plan on fixing it soon but that particular color is a little bit difficult to mix properly...)
[PPS~ I'm also aware that i have no earthly idea of how to paint power weapons...Which could turn out to be a huge problem with this army...]

I like the alternate arm position. It greatly adds to the pose of the model.

The painting is pretty good, although I would say his eyes need re-doing.

What about the eyes needs to be redone?

I think the eyes are good. Epaminondas has given them a psychic "glow" effect, am I right? It doesn't look like sloppy paint work to me.

Really nice job

Now it looks like you are trying to fill the base up with random accessories :x

Overall I like the model. But have you tried using washes at all? I can't really tell from the pics you posted.

I had not tried washes until i finished that model. I just recently moved to Honolulu so i can't continue painting until my stuff gets mailed to me. I will probably redo this model when i next get a chance to.

I have to agree that I love the repositioned arm. It make the model much more dynamic. Also, some washes would help a bit to make the model pop. But over all I like it. Great work.
