Epicly awesome. That really is quite fantastic.

The amount of detail and the sheer orkishness of the piece are astounding, bravo.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

I like it, how big is it though? It looks a bit beefier than the typical Ork flier not that I'm complaining.

Fantastic stuff!

Any chance for some WIP shots. I was actually going to try and build one myself for 40k. Once I start I'm sure I'll have lots of questions for you.

actual work time was about five months. I had to go to school in the middle of it, so a year from start to finish.

Its pretty massive, wing span is 23", nose to tail is 20". Here's a shot with a rhino under its wing,

and one of my roomie holding it. (he's not a small guy, no camera tricks, haha.)

I based it off of the Aeronotica Imperialis forge world model.

with the exception of the ork pilot, door gunners, and random cannons for the nose, the whole model is scratch built. Its 90% sheet plastic and PVC tubing.

As for what else I have to show y'all, I have tons of models, I just usually only post the big stuff. I'm slowly making the move from warseer to Dakka Dakka, so expect more pics in the future. I really need to spend a day getting a gallery together for this board.

This is the WiP thread I did over at warseer. The next project will be done over here.

check out the last few pages of the WiP thread over at warseer. If there's any detail not covered in that thread that you want to see, I'll post them here.

Thanks for all the kind responses. I really like doing projects like this, just not sure what the next one will be.

Yeah I totally have to build one now. Thanks for the inspiration. I ran across the FW pics the other day and have been pondering how to go about it.

I don't know how I missed the thread over on warseer but I'm glad you posted it here. I love your stuff.

It's the amount of detail you put into your work that really sets it apart. I can't wait to see what you're doing next.

Yeah, that's not bad...

I jest, that is astounding! Probably the best large model I've seen on this and any forum. You should email a pic to GW, be amazed if they didn't stick it up on their site/offer you a job on the spot.

The sheer cluttered amazing orkyness is only surpassed by the excellent paint job.

It's superb!! One of the bestest orky things ever seen here.

However - I think the canopy is a weak point! The design is so uniform and lacks detail. Where are the rivets and asymmetric support structure, bullet holes and cracked window and ... It's a focal point ina gorgeous thing crammed with detail and narrative and suddenly both are lacking.
