Had a good look at this guy, and this is as good as ive seen him! Great slimey green work on the banners above this palanquin.

Also, the 'vomit stain' on his chest is disgusting - well done!

Finally, the hourglass is very neatly done and a great glass effect.

You should put it in the gallery so we can vote on it!

Very nice work, I really like the pael/pinkish skin. Can you tell me how you achieved that effect as I was looking for something similar on the steed for my Chaos Warrior Champion.

Certainly, the skin is a graveyard earth + tanned Flesh + space wolf grey mix....I wash it with green/brown ink, then add the base coat again. I then mix tanned flesh and space wolf grey, and then a little rotting Flesh and start highlights....i keep adding white until the very fine highlights are pure white....then wash the whole model with Gryphonne Sepia (watered down slighty), and add Baal red and Thraka Green washes to the odd area to get it all diseased looking.

Great job, HiveFleet. Too many people think that Nurlge and Orks = sloppiness, so that's how they paint their stuff. It's just not true, and this is a good example of Nurgle done right. Good use of gloss varnish in places, and that hourglass is fantastic. It actually looks like a little bit that's been made out of hollow glass with a bit of ooze inside. Brilliant.

Damn good. Having painted this silly model and hated doing so, I commend you on this one.

great work...the only thing that i think it could use is something on the flags...a fly...three circles...other than that very wonderful....why the flags, well they make him seem fast moveing and well as the curse gose..we are slow and always strike last

Hi Hivefleet,

i love this model, and having it myself i really feel for you painting those nurglings!

the Hourglass looks especially good, as mentioned before, my one suggestion would be to do some free hands on the banners, maybe eyeballs making nurgles symbol or the silhouette of a fly

thanks, Overlord

Thanks alot for all the comments, and I completely agree on the banners...the only reason i have yet to do anything yet is that basically I ran out of steam and couldnt think of anything at the time to put on them....I figure some of the nurgle symbols will suffice, but I will get around to it eventually. I am currently starting up my 1st Daemon Prince paint job, so ill probably finish him up after that.
