I'm starting a new SM force. I think of restarting my crimson fists but I also like Raven Guard, Ultrasmurfs and Imperial Fists. Which one should I do?

Why not go something interesting - Marines Errant, Eagle Warriors, Silver Skulls, or Scythes of the Emperor?

O H I am in the Webway...

What is your army? Speed = Raveguard. Standard Fluffy tactical (vanilla) = Ultra. Bunch of troops = IF.

Eagle Warriors or Novamarines. Primarily because those are two SICK paint schemes.

Well one of my 3 Marine armies is white... and let me tell you it sucks to paint white. My Blood Angels are easier but all that red gets annoying after a while. My Space Wolves are Codex Grey instead of the standard Space Wolf Grey, and I like them a lot.

I really recomend painting an army that is easy to paint. No whites, no yellows, and no silvers. Silver just looks too tacky, and for some reason they make me hate painting my Grey Knights.

Try Black Consuls, Raven Guard, Salamanders, Iron Hands (What my 3rd army is based off of), Relictors, or Ultramarines.

Just don't play ultramarines, they are used way too often, not original at all at this point. Personally I would suggest salamanders if you want a well known chapter, I myself use Fire Lords.

Oh god. I hate making up chapters. It took me a week to decide on a name and colour scheme for my home brew chapter, Angels of Judgement

If your willing to take a gamble, space wolves or a space wolves related chapter would be good as their new codex is out soon.

Zweischneid wrote:No way man. A Space Marine in itself is scary. But a Marine WITHOUT helmet wears at least 3-times as much plot-armour as a Marine with helmet. And heaven forbid if the Marine would also happen to have an intimidating looking, vertical scar. Then you're surly boned. Those guys are the worst. Not a chance I'd say.

If you don't know what you like or what you would enjoy playing how are random strangers going to know? Pick something that stands out to you and go with it. The only thing we could tell you is which chapter that has different rules (black templars, dark angels, space wolves, blood angels, salamanders, etc) would do competitively, and they are all competitive but have different playstyles.

I don't see how those are any more or less interesting than the other chapters. The biggest difference with most of the chapters is a little bit of strategy change, but mostly paint scheme.

Legion of the Damned...wait they are just one squad...Combine them with the Ravenwing Battle Force...pretty much black is a fast way to start because you would jusr prime black and add highlights and details. If you really want to challenge your painting skills, try the yellow imperial fists and the white scars.
