Ok , so im kinda sic of having all my begginers stuffing in the same deisplay case as the newest models(i collect to paint , not to play). So im gonna repaint ALL my stuff . The resent threads of mine have aslways stoped in a few updates on.

If you know my colour scheme , i have changed it . They Silver is now White and the helmets are white with purple eye lenses.

Finished an noobies looking commander

Unfurtinatly i had drilled a hole in his leg with my hobby knife , aswell as his cape , hope it doesnt make him look worse though ...

I wish you the best of luck. i started a repaint of my Tau army quite a while ago, about 3 years I'd say, and I'm happy with the way it LOOKS, the problem is, I've only finished a handful of minis out of oh say 100...

Yep, I just simpled greened my whole army. worked like a charm, and saves the basecoat!

Where can i find some simple green? ive looked all over giant and places like that but i cant seem to find it

Check the automotive section of walmart. Also look for purple power and (I think) Castrol super clean.

UPDATE !!

I got the got the camera (with not-so-perfect results though)

Here are the pics of the commander . Took me a lot of time ...

I did some freehand tries and they came out good for a first time i think for an actual freehand..

Next up : Three bikes !!

Nice greens, and the cape looks good too. Do you use washes at all? The sword looks extremely "shiny", and his head could use some flesh wash as well.

The base is excellent by the way, nicely done.

I do use washes , but becouse im low on devlan mud AND thraka green im just gonna wait until i finish my list and THEN im gonna buy lots'N'lots of devlan muds and thraka green's and wash them

And thanks for the C on the base

It took me some work to get it painted up but it whas totaly worth it

Update!!

There wont be any pics on this update since im currently at my friends home painting and forgot my camera ...

I have painted the whole bike and only the torso and head of the biker himself remains unpainted

I had to chop him apart , with the results of a huge scrape in my desk and a pretty bad cut on my hand ... when all the way from one end of the palm to the other , very very nasty...

I did ALOT of freehand on him , the second try on some acual freehand , and my first time painting FLA**S (im not gonna tell , but its pretty easy to guess)

The other two bikes havent been touched , and i can see that this project is gonna be effing time consuming since im gonna do my best on every single model , instead of just painting it like an army(not as much detail work etc etc)

Got some washes , two bottles(three aculy , but one of them opened and spilled 99%)

cheap bottle heads ... of devlan mud , 2 of thraka green and one of gryphone sepia (or however it is wroten)

Ok , so i finished the bike ! It didnt take alot of work , most of the time went into drawing those flames .. i hate my opsession with perfection

I find putting a lot of metallics, esp. silver in one area looks to plain, Washes always help bring out the details and the metal looks. Love everything else though.
