I'm a new modeler, and I think that's working against me.. I have no idea how to construct this Broadside. Is there any sort of instruction picture I can look at? Or would anyone mind posting a front, back, left, and right view of a finished one that's built exactly like the default?

Sorry if this is annoying... I didn't want to have to ask ._.;

The chest/head is built the same way as a crisis suit. You give it the metal feet, and metal SMS system. The railguns attach on top (where you could attack a crisis wep system). Then there should be 2 metal things that attack over the thrusters on the back of the suit.

The GW website should have a pic (camera is still in a box somewhere).

They are very similar to crisis suits.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Lots of people build them with the railguns on the arms and the rocket packs on the shoulders.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Sorry about the quality.

I feel that the railguns look much better on the back, since they seem to be more like artillery.

I still need to paint it, of course.

Railguns (especially the Broadside version) are direct fire weapons. I always thought they looked a bit weird in the "retracted" position

I have 1 broadside in the "official" config, and then quickly did another 2 with arm mounted railguns as I felt it provided more flexibility in modelling options.

Also, not to be worrying, but you can't arm Broadsides with Fusion blasters and Burst cannon...

Oh, well, I don't plan to play as Tau, I just want to practice painting before I actually make an army I want to use.

Someone said that Tau were a great place to start painting, due to how 'square' they are, which will help with simple painting techniques.

Thanks to everyone for posting tips and advice!

This, to date, is my best miniature I've ever painted, I am really quite proud of it. Thanks guys, hope to post more, soon!
