This is the finished first squad of veteran troopers and their transport. I'm going for a late campaign look, and didn't want any two to look quite a like, except for the two new guys in the stock guard poses. (Since logically they would have taken some casualties no matter how awesome they are in combat). Each guy has assumed a very particular role in the squad even if it isn't as obvious as 'radioman' or 'flamer operator'. (The two FNG's of course are 'meat shield A and meatshield B') The squad was built from a combination of stock Cadian, Catachan, Sentinel drivers, Leman Russ drivers, Command Squad pieces, Forge World's 'veteran upgrade kit', and a few Space Marine pieces.

The Chimera is stock with some excess baggage from a 1/35 Tamiya Modern Tank Accessory kit, GW vehicle sprue and a shield for the stubber from a heavy weapon squad. The driver's head is from a Sentinel pilot because I prefer the old 'football helmet' look. The name 'Narda' is from the Filipino comic / TV show 'Darna'. I sprayed it down with light grey primer giving it the gritty, rough appearance of a modern tank and then gave it two coats of Regal Blue mixed with a little Chaos Black. The edges where sponged with Codex Grey then sparingly metal flicked with Boltgun Metal.

One squad down, two to go! (Command and another Veteran as support for my 9 tank formation)

The weathering on the chimera (particularly the paint scraped off near the rear door handles) looks fantastic imo

Thanks, I think I'll try to do the handle path scrapes lighter on the next one though, just a triple set of scrape lines.

There are 2 things which would make your models stand out alot more and creating a better painting finish

...

1. BASES!

2. MOLD LINES!

other than that, all looks good but with a lil more effort - could look a lot better.
