I have been painting for about 2 months and started a Tau Army
Here it is, I just want to know am i good painter yet, feel free to criticizes and give advice, I did not highlight, wash or even dry brush any of these models, it just shows you models can be painted up quick and easy with plain colours. I will use better techniques in future models!

Is this table top standard yet?

All comments will be appreciated

Considering you didnt wash, highlight or drybrush, and only just starting (I assume), from what I can tell (the photos arent the best quality), you're off to a solid start. You have a nice solid and clean scheme so keep it up

very good start!

One thing with the tau flesh. Try dry brushing the faces/heads white.

After the drybrush, wash with the GW Blue wash.

along the raised parts of the faces, you can highlight with ice blue

Everything looks well blocked out in solid colour. The paint looks a little thick but that might just be the fuzzy pictures.

A bit of a wash and highlight will work wonders, just like on your Guard stuff.

Also the Devilfish engines are upside down

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I like the colour scheme, it's a nice break from the usual Tau colours your painting is nice and crisp and the colours are nice and solid, as other members have mentioned just add a wash and it will bring out all the detail, good work though mate, keep it up

I'm still certain the engines are upside down. The flat side should be uppermost, while your 'fish appears to have the tapered side uppermost. Its not necessarily a bad thing. It just looks a bit weird

It is upside down. In the photo, there is a vent under the engine (painted black in the photo). If I am not mistaken, the correct top of the engine does not have a vent. Also, from the photo, you can see the tapered part of the engine is on the underside. While the more flat/straigh part is on top.
