Thats quite a nice subtle effect you have there on the power sword.
You could mybe try some very thin lighter highlights on the very edges of the blade towards the top to really make it look like its shining.
More painted models now please.

Ya and grab some Devlan mud works wonders on toning down the shinyness of the gold and will make your highlights pop more I think it works amasing with red as well. or anything for that matter. Other than that its a very good start keep it up man Maybe try a tooth pick with writting letters on your shield it works well.

I would concur on a wash then rehighlight on the model. Also perhaps a very faint edging on the sword with my favourite colour, ice blue.

AND another fabulous tip is for the writing on that shield ( or any writing for that matter) use a craft pen. The super fine tips on those make writing on minis look so much nicer. Good work tho

Thanks guys, and now for an almost unkown thing (for me anyway) an update. I had real problems with the librarian working how to put the blue and red together I never think they 'go' and trying to achieve a better power(axe) in this case effect. Hope you Like!
P.S. sorry about the writing, done it again Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and if anybody has time to vote for these in the gallery that would be cool, thanks!

Try giving the hand and axe head a wash or two of asurman blue.
looking good though, having the blue highlighted up to a brighter blue makes the effect more obvious.
Well done

I dunno, I just hate the all blue Librarian scheme, it makes me think of ultramarines...and I really don't like ultramarines (no offense to those of you who play them). On mine I just painted the left shoulder blue and left it at that.
I agree up there, I like the sword, but I'm not sure the green hilt works for me. I'm not sayin it's bad, just not something I'd have went with. Other than that they're some fine lookin models you have there!
I also like on the second model how you have the underside of his hand a whiteish color. Is that just a source lighting or to accent his psychic powers?
