So, I've just gotten into the fun of the Tyranid Swarm, and I just finished my first piece. I wanted to see what others think of the mod and the colour scheme.

what parts is it? i see red terror maybe?

It looks great, could we get some shots of it against a neutral background?

A quick parts list.

lower body and tail are from the red terror.
the main body is from the new hive tyrant.
the head is made from the red terror and a plastic carnifex (the one with the bio plasma)
the main wings are from the Balrog (Lord of the Rings.... food for thought, how many wingless Balrog are there in the world, hmm?)
the lower wings came from a privateer press model..the Angelus.
the scything talons are the smaller set of the hive tyrant pair and a set off of the tyranid warrior sprue.
add a LOT of pins (every joint and conection) and a ton of green stuff. oh, and some small stones i got from the street outside.

Next on the chopping block I'll be making some serpentine hormagaunts. I'll post the first of those i get done.
PS I'm converting the whole army to be serpentine. Any thoughts on how to do a biovore that doesn't look like a slug?

Yet another model which is so freaking awesome that, in my opinion, it deserves equally awesome rules. That's no ordinary Hive Tyrant, it's more like an Emperor. (Heresy, I know. Tee Hee!!!)

I didn't think that the red terror could have the winged biomorph.

This needs a slightly more insiring thread title.
I opened it with morbid curiosity expecting a car crash of a model.
What I found, however, was really really nice.
The conversion work looks excellent from here.
I would like to see more work done on the base, it looks a little basic/ unfinished.
I like the paint scheme but it is a little hard to see the quality of the actual painting, if that makes sense?

sorry about the quality of the pics, the only way i have to take shots is to hold them up in front of my computer and take a picture witht the built in camera. as soon as i've got a real camera i'll try and take some better pics and i'll post them to the gallery. and i am not scary...

about the biovore, i saw a pic of a plastic biovore made out of bits of tyranid warrior

lemme go look for it...cos its ingenoius and cost affective
