I've decided to theme each squad with a different mutation type thing - this one is going to be a fiery red and yellow pus skinned unit who is stronger than normal men - hence, the massive ork guns!

hmm , I am not sure the larger guns work with out some sort of "extra" that is currently missing, Cant put my finger on it , the "weight" looks wrong - might need sholder straps or lifting aids maybe ?

Yeah, perhaps a handle on the top of the gun for the other hand, to secure them whilst they fire...

I immediately thought of the heavy machine guns in Aliens... lookit!

I've got to work now but I'll hopefully get some more done tonight depending on how tired I'll be...

As promised, here is the rest of the squad. I have yet to do any changes to the first 4 though. But to be honest, I think the camera makes it look a lot more absurd than they feel in real life.


I've got an ork orientated squad of ten possibly finished. I now need some ideas for the next squad... with lasguns this time - can anyone think of a way of making them interesting?

EDIT: I'll put some more detail shots up tomorrow when I've got daylight on my side. There's one guy which I'm especially proud of whose holding a his gun by a front handle in one hand and in his right a knife for resisting an enemy charge. He hasn't quite got in the shots properly...

I've now painted one of the models as a 'test' figure. PLEASE give me some feedback before I commit the whole army to this!

Like most moderately painted models I believe - he looks more striking and pleasing from a distance.
