Well, for the second of these mini blogs, I have a set of three Leman Russ tanks that I painted up recently, for my growing DKoK force. I decided that an armored wedge was needed, and this is the start of that. These three have had minor conversions done, including some upgrade bits from the Shadowsword kit that I´m also building at the moment.

They were painted green and grey stripes using an airbrush. I´ve been trying to improve on my airbrushing technique lately, and it´s getting better I think. I also did basic rust and dirt around the tracks, and some decal work. They need finishing touches, but like the BB team I also put up recently, I think they are fine for tabletop use.

Nemesis
The command tank. For this one I did a barrel swap, It could use some GS work around the edges possibly, but I´ll be switching it for a Plasma turret eventually.

Iron Duke
The second tank in the unit, carries a large spotlight, and tow cables. It also has sponsons fitted, for sweeping the ground ahead of the tank unit´s advance.

Dauntless
The third tank of the group, it has been outfitted for support, with additional fuel tanks, and some upgraded anti air firepower.

Finally, a closeup of some rusted tracks, and mud spatters.

These tanks still need some work on them, but I´m fairly happy about how they´ve turned out. I´ve got some sentinels to support them, that have also been painted in this scheme. Still waiting on some Krieg drivers for them however... More on that later. Also, the Shadowsword will be painted to match these.

subtle camo, looks good, I'd put some paint over the transfer's clear parts though, since they are producing some reflection.

How'd you do the nameplates? Are those all transfers?

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Thanks for the comments guys.

Yeah, the transfers are giving me trouble at the moment. they were fine until I started weathering, but I´ll have to fiugure a way to bring them back down and make them "un-shiny"....

The nameplates are transfers from the shadowsword kit, and the actual tags that they are sitting on are from that same kit. Loads of useful bits in there!
The spare wheel on the front of the lead tank is also from the Shadowsword..
