Greetings all!

God a t-34-72 soviet ww2 tank from my dad who wants me to 'graduate' from 40k on to 'real' modeling! Joking bought it before i started 40k but never built the thing.

got a free demolisher cannon from a friend, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to convert it to include sponsons? if you guys/girls could include pictures on your ideas that would be awsome!

thanks for anything that comes my way.

Id rather have a rail-gun than a lazcannon!!!

To 40k it up, big aggressive dozer blade, straight turret swap and...and...hmmm, there really isn't a large amount of room for side sponsons, if you wanted to comfortably fit them, you'd have to do some serious bodywork with plasticard to raise the entire superstructure's profile and box it off enough to include them.

It also feels quite small.

I reckon you could make a sweet hellhound or variant from it though.

Somewhere in south-central England.

The snow pic has a KV1 turret on the T34 hull, which isn't a bad look actually.

Building sponsons will need some plastic carding. I don't think you need raise the entire hull, just do mini-sponsons containing light weapons like a heavy bolter or multilaser.

As an alternative, how about plating over the engine deck hatches and installing a secondary turret? You get a better fiedl of fire than with sponsons, but you can only shoot to one side, which evens it out.

The T34 model will be 19cm long and 8.6cm wide if you use a 1/35 scale kit. That's plenty big enough for a 40K vehicle.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Sweetness! That tank looks pretty good. I figure if you cut down the turret a little (or used an APC turret....or the actual GW turret) you cold make a decent chimera out of one of those tanks too.
