I thought this would be cool, because the Blood angles primarch had wings. This is my first big conversion (base and all) took the wings from some flying elder.
So let me know what you think!

I like the idea man.
My DA oppenent did something similar with his Chaplain, 'cept he used the wings from the Empire standard bearer (I think).

This looks boss, the wings do look a little Eldar-esque, but hey that's cool. Nice work dude.

I like the overall facade ... it looks uber cool.

On the flip side it did remind me of Card Captor Sakura - but that's just my love for CCS. lol Magical girl with wings and a staff with wings - zealous religious psycho nut bag in power armour ... with wings and a magical staff with wings... lol.

I really like the colour scheme as well, how one leg is red, with black knee pad etc. It's really unique without being 'too out there'. Nice job!

Crit wise, the gold on the wings seem ... a little unnecessary. And the application of paint can be improved on future models with thinner paint. Being neater with the paint is also recommended.

The cloth between his legs (the terminology escapes me...) doesn't show the depth - shadows and highlights. That would add to the dynamic pose of the model.

I like the base because it props the chaplain's pose perfectly. But I don't understand why one of the cubes on the bases connected to the melting green rod/ooze is white (all flat white at that) and the other is bronze... and I don't really think it looks natural to have the chaplain land or take off on a seemingly artificial and metallic 'cone' that has a natural rock formation (the bit that is part of the chaplain's foot). From what I can tell it's a rock 'rubble' or ... some other rubble... but it seem so perfectly piled on exactly at that point of the big metallic cone it seems quite unreal. To be honest it's not too bad ... more of a slight distraction.

All in all, seems like an excellent conversion and paint job for a novice (?) hobbyist.

Some nice work Love the basing in particular. I have converted myself a flying canoness for my SoB army; I've used the Swooping Hawk Exarch wings because they are a bit more chunky, a bit of filing and snipping get's rid of their Eldarness.

For painting the cloth, i would put a good few washes onto your base colour to really bring out the shadows. Highlight it gently, with some brighter higlights only at the very edges and the most upraised area. Cloth does not reflect light as much as metal armour would, so make sure it has a darker appearance than the rest of the model

Cloth on Space Marines - I think they look best if it's:

1. snakebite leather (or ... whatever it is they have now)
2. bone colour (again, is bleached bone still around? Or do people use kommando Khaki?)
3. white

use the three colours as three layers; or you could do 5 layers by mixing in between;

1. light brown
2. light brown + bone
3. bone
4. bone + white
5. white

There should be few painting tutorials on CMON

Looks good. There is an aesthetic quality to those particular wings that really works with the model. Nicely done.
