Strong, vibrant colours. Cleanly applied and nicely posed.

Any army in this scheme will look great. (is blue and red Behemoth?)

Yeah, blue and red is Behemoth. I like how you've done it, very crisp colours, very vibrant. The skill here is undeniable. My problems is, with almost every tyranid colour scheme i see these days, it doesnt look threatening. More like a roast lobster than an yucky intergalactic menace. That said however, its still a very very nice paint job.

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"

Is that followed by a pile-in move?

That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"

Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round?

Very well painted I agree that the depth of the colours is very good and pleasant to look at.

Blessed be the mind that is too small for doubt!

Are you sure you haven't painted Nids before? How else can you get a Behemoth Warrior to look good?

I have painted other minis before but I played around with home Hormies first to get the colours right.

Here are some pics of them as well as the first warriors two friends.

I am undercoating some genestealers tonight and hopefully I will have them finished in a couple of days,

Very vibrant scheme, the green talons are a great contrast to everything else. I've just started up Tyranids myself again, and experimenting with a night fighting scheme (Liche Purple + Badab Black wash carapace/Regal Blue exoskeleton). Looking at your models, it's easy to see why 'Nids are a great army to try highlights/washes on.

Ahh, stealers. Do I also detect a Broodlord coming into this equasion?

@Neith. You're right, they are easy and quick. My Leviathan for example. Cover in Bleached Bone, wash with watered down Liche Purple, go over it again with a Bleached Bone/Skull White mix, with the purple showing in the gaps. Then there is the carapace which starts black, paint Liche Purple on the edges and a bit futher in ward and the a Fortress Grey/Liche Purple highlight on the very edge. Easy!

As someone who's only just started taking an interest in making my models look decent (as opposed to 'get this done and on the table in 10 minutes ), I'm finding 'Nids to be a great army to experiment on. I've only recently started using the Citadel Washes, and haven't highlighted before- so I'm going to start that on my Tyranids.

I guess taking a few years' break from the hobby gives you a new perspective on things

Im thinking about a broodlord, There is one on the shelves at my LFGS that seems to be calling my name.

Love the thought of a massive amount of stealers running up to slash the enemies up

Check for a space hulk set then, if stealers tickle your fancy... 100 bucks netted me the set with a broodlord and 22 stealers... plus all the other goodies. If you aren't thrilled about space hulk, I'm sure you can sell the rest of the set either in the swap shop or ebay. It nets you some killer sculpts all the same.

I have a space hulk set, best stealers I have ever seen, might eventually look for more, seen more on Ebay selling by themselves, tempting to have a go a bidding for them

A lot of them translate well with the simple addition of 1" (25mm) bases for the 'stealers and a 40mm for the broodlord... it takes a little bit of shaving around their original "bases" but it actually seems to make them even more stable. That is a plus because I still like to use them for some SH fun!

I thought about doing that as well, because they aren't the most stable of models.

But only played one game with them, so I could be wrong.

I got them for the termies but turns out the stealers are better...

I love my genestealers... everyone says they're having a problem killing tanks or tough HQ units, I just run a large unit of 'stealers with a Brood Lord at them.

Brood Lords are great... lots of perks for only 80pts

I don't see why stealers would have a problem with tanks... land raiders maybe but most other tanks are AV 10 in the rear... if you add toxin sacks and scything talons they get 4 s5 attacks... with rending and resolved on the rear armor. Multiply that times 8 for a decent-sized brood. More than enough to rip through all but the heaviest tanks.

And AV12 of dreads? It's my pain, 3 dreads with autocannons. Anyway, nice to see another tyranid army. It seems i'm not the only one who plays tyranids in 5th!
Space hulk stealers are the best models of the tyranid army. Try to buy more!

Question about the bases: do you just use the small crushed slate from the 40k basing kit or do you have a different material?

Spidernid, Spidernid,
Does whatever a spidernid can.
Eats a man, any size,
Catches thieves just like flies.
Look out! Here comes the Spidernid.
Is he strong? Listen bud—
He's got radioactive blood.
Can he swing from a thread?
Take a look overhead.
Hey there! There goes the Spidernid.
In the chill of the night,
At the scene of the crime,
Like a streak of light,
We escape just in time!
Spidernid, Spidernid,
Friendly neighborhood Spidernid.
Wealth and fame, he's ignored—
Bio-mass is his reward.
To him,
Life is a great big NOM-NOM—
Wherever there's a NOM-NOM,
You'll find the Spidernid!
