So I just started to paint my Orks awhile ago. I haven't painted a model in probably 20-25 years since I was a child so I'm pretty much a complete noob trying to make a good looking model. If anyone has any tips for me to improve what I am able to currently paint at my skill level please let me know. Well, here they are!!!

Couple things that jump out at me;

1) the armour on their shoulders is way too clean. Scuff it up some.
2) More shading, especially on the bandages around their arms
3) Too much white. They're orks, how long do you suppose anything they own would stay white. Off-white, at best, for ork colouring, with the exception of small patches of checkerboard stuff.

For me i would get lighter shade for the skin i personnaly think it looks better. Also i dont really like distinct colour i think more black or greyish

They are death skulls so they are a blue and white army. I don't really like the cartoon, bright green skin ork color. Remember the darker the skin as an ork, the more fierce they are.

Thanks for the heads up on the wristbands. I forgot all about giving them a black wash! Good thing I didn't seal them yet.

You asked for advice, and proceeded to say that it was wrong.

No one is saying that your deathskulls shouldn't be blue&white. However, making the blues a little lighter, and whites a little dirtier will make the army look better. As it is, they look flat and unrealistic.

A wash over the white and blue to make it less stark.

Armour needs weathering, skin could do with some subtle highlights. For the Nobz... remember, the bigger and naster the ork, the darker his skin.

Red, I never said anyone was "wrong". I simply stated, I do not like the cartoon look of bright skinned orks.

I tossed a devlan mud wash over the whites and blues, and it did make the models look better.

Thx again for the heads up.
