Hey starting a new army and have chosen to do a IG soviet themed army.
Heres my first mini. C&C welcome

Ooh normally i would say "not another pig iron head! "
but this time it comes with unique color + cammo + ( ak-47? )

Haha Awesome . I agree with Luna normally I'm tired of seeing Pig Iron head armies, but yours has cool ak47's and nice painting

I especially like the AK-47s. The heads.... hmm, maybe they're are a little over used on Dakka, but it works well with a soviet theme. Nice work!

Hey thanks, yeah there will definetly be red stars featuring in this army. My veterans are a real treat packing the blue berets and gas masks of the naval marines . stay tuned for more

First sqd done and heres my weapons team

Looking good. How large is the army going to be? I can see another squad or two in the background. Also where do the guns come from? Are they pig iron too?

The army will be 2000+

1 vet sqd
1 Penal sqd
3x medusas
2x leman russ exterminators
1x vanquisher
1x vendetta

the weapons are from assault group they have a fantastic range

Very nice work. Those AK's look much better on IG than I expected and the camo works nicely.

The AC squad look good in the prone position too. Mind if I ask what your plans are for the Penal squad?

Where did you get the AK47's from? If they do other weapons as well I may be interested in a little chop and change ina couple of my squads.

Pig Iron heads ARE used alot on dakka, but thats because they look good. And I agree the AK-47s look perfect on there. Nice work

Hey thanks for all the comments. Yeah im glad the ak's turned out well wasnt sure if they would because off the models they look tiny compared next to lasguns. As for the penal legion i will be using catachan models with some of the pigiron winter militia heads and will be armed with a mishmash of ak variety's most likely the ones with double mags on them and will be in some wacky poses and looking desperate.
