So I finally finished my command squad, I'm quite pleased with how this stuff turned out especially the banner, never tried freehand before, but LittleBoyBlues inspired me to have a go. It looks kind of rough and some of the colours look really bright, but there more subtle shades in real life. It is supposed to depict a Pre-Imperial legend of the Blood-Brothers homeworld, The Earth-godess saw the featureless land and wept for her lost children, a single tear of blood, which created life so on so forth. The Champion was my first ever go at blendiing on the sword its not great but since then I think I have refined the technique a bit more on other models. The Apothecary really had me stumped at one stage, but I decided white was simply too bright so its a space wolf grey heavily washed. Hope you guy's like it.

It's a good start, although the banner looks more like a clown than a war hero.

Really impressed with the freehand on the banner, i know i couldnt paint it that well.

Just come back from Barcelona, reminds me of some of the picasso paintings i saw.

keep it up.

A little part of me dies when it thinks of a puritan Inquisitor reading the Rites of Damnation to a heretic then throwing him off a ladder through a table.

Thanks I am actually very into Picasso's work and style though I didn't intentionally base this on his work.

looking good, i would suggest working on your picture taking. Your minis look awesome, but the photos detract from them. I had the same problem with my older camera too.

The whole world's a stage, you're either an actor or a prop; it's up to you which one.

Yeah as the first commenter said it looks more like a clown on the banner.
