I was looking areound for ideas to base a Manticore on, and I came across the Spyder SAM system. And I said, that could be mated to a Chimera chassis.




The rear missile deck is going to magnetized, and the front sensor will be removeable, so the whole thing will be able to be converted into a chimera if I need more mech.

These are very much a WIP, so do bear with them.

will you be putting missles in the tubes? just curious mainly. i was trying to come up with ways to make a Manticore and i really like your idea.

The tube are made from brass tubing, readily available from hobby shops.

And I'm making missile cones from the 3rd edition IG searchlights. I'll attach to sprues to make them removeable, so I can keep track of how many I've fired.

Pretty cool; they remind me of the old epic manticore, which were basically a chimera with 4 missiles on top.

Those are siege shield arms. Good spot on that one.

The great thing about this is that it doesnt look like an obvious conversion 10/10
