I am not a Warhammer 40k player myself but most of my friends are and when one of them asked me to build a warlord titan for him I thought it would be an excellent challenge. Not to mention I am a pretty big mechwarrior fan and things of this size and nature tend to peek my interest.
Here are some photos of the build as it sits today. Mind you this is about 6 to 8 months in so far (not working on it everyday). The model sits approx 30" tall not including the weapons on the shoulders.
It was constructed using 1/8" and 1/4" ABS plastic and a bit of fiberglass and resin cast parts. The legs were created mostly from MDF in order to keep the center of gravity as low as possible.
As of right now the titan is only flat black waiting for its owner to finish the final detailing and decals.
I wanted to post it here because honestly you guys were the most helpful resource when I began building this thing. I didn't make it look exactly as some of the more standard models out there but I did try to stick to the general layout. What do you want when there aren't any plans right?
Anyways I would love to hear critiques, comments and so on if you guys can provide them. The owner wants some different weapons for this rig so if you like I can post that progress on here as well. I also may be starting another one for another friend so they can have warlord wars.
