Hello, this is my first post here on dakka, and i want to say hi.
Also, here is my gun drone, which is my first step into a 40K army.
id like to hear what you think about the drone, and where i could improve my painting.

I used:
the main body is vomit brown ,Scorched brown for the little lines and Ice blue at the front of the gun. and last, Chainmail for the gyrostabilzers

Not bad, I would recommend you to start priming with white and thinning your paints down to that of almost water. It looks as if you painted your brown a little too thick, and the antenna thing lost some definition. With Tau it's about round and stark, crisp edges, so you want to accent both to a high standard so you don't lose them and make the model look goopy. You can also remedy this by highlighting the edges. I don't know what color you used as the basecoat, but add a little Bleached Bone to it if you use GW paints and lightly apply it to the edges where you'd think the light would hit it.

Practice more on brush control. The black in-lining looks a little rough. As I said, everything on Tau needs to be crisp, rigid, etc.

Other than that, you are good to go my man, good luck.

Somewhere in south-central England.

I would say you need to thin your paint more because the coat looks a bit lumpy on top.

Do a hard edge highlight with a slightly lighter colour than the main colour. Go around the edges of the armour plates. It works very well on this kind of armour.

You may find it easier to do the thin lines (black lines) between plates by letting thinned paint flow into them rather than trying to paint in the lines by hand.

Overall though the lines are neat enough, people need to remember the picture is twice lifesize. The colour scheme is well chosen. You've done neat work and this is a model which will look nice on the table.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Nice work! I like how the second one turned out.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

That's a big improvement, Craats - nice work.

The only thing I'd say is to keep an eye on the mold lines - it shows up on the antenna on the first photo of the second drone, but that's about it. As its only showing on one photo, you're probably fine for a TT standard, but its something to keep an eye on with other kits, as they can be a lot more obvious.
