can you take more than one with the same model like having a warlord having a maximum of 20 aditional atacks becuase he can take 20 rat hound body guards? in which would having more than one rat hound body guard make them accumalitive?

A character with 2 Rat bodygurads is still a character with "a" Rat BG - and therefore makes 1S3 ayyack regardless of how many you have.

thats what i had though but questioned it thanks.

The wording states "A model with a rat hound upgrade can make an additional WS3, S3 attack", not an additional attack per rat hound.
Is it me or other examples like the Slave torpedo seem to be folks trying to find every loophole in the book?
