Hey all posting this here for those that dont check the painting blogs. Comments and crits are always welcome
Entry for best painted at the 2009 Great white remembrance day tournament. Took second place and im happy with that as I got the vote of the third place gold demon winner in town (points for whoever guesses who beat me out for best painted.) . Thinking about the model now what I would have added would be a few designs on the cloak and maybe spiff up his gauntlet a little as its kind of dull. All in all im very happy with him and I like how he came out. In particular the pistol coils look great.
Last shot is of his servo skull buddys who I used as mystics in the tourny
Rifle man dreadnought. Never leave home without it. Love how I got the emblem to look on his shoulder there. Had to make the arms myself as im not paying forgeworlds ridiculous price and shipping for things.
Razorbacks, there are two of them. I like how I got the cooils to look. Next year I think ill swap to rhinos though.
And lastly the land speeder. Got this from a friend of mine. Was a total wreck when I got it so I fixed it up a bit. Had to remove the grill on the front. Give it a new rail for the melta. Green stuff the crap out of it. I added hte missle shortly before the tourny as I needed to fill points and im fairly happy with how it worked out. Thinking of maybe getting a few more but we will see.
