Ok, I've been further refining my Space Wolves list for my FLGS's January tournament. This is the thread of the first list I wrote http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/269414.page and this is what I've got now.

HQ
-Logan Grimnar (275)
-Rune Priest: Chooser of the Slain, Living Lightning, another power (110)

Elites
Venerable Dreadnought: Assault Cannon, DCCW, Heavy Flamer, Extra Armor (190)
Lone Wolf: Storm Shield, Mark of the Wulfen, 2 Fenrisian Wolves (85)

Troops
10 Grey Hunters: 2x Plasma Gun, Wolf Standard, Mark of the Wulfen (185)
5 Grey Hunters: Flamer, Plasma Pistol (90)
9 Blood Claws: Flamer, Power Weapon, Rhino (185)
5 Wolf Guard: 1)Plasma Pistol and Power Weapon (with the Blood Claws), 2) Terminator Armor, Assault Cannon, Power Fist, 3) Terminator Armor, 2 Wolf Claws, 4) Terminator Armor, Storm Bolter, Power Fist, 5) Terminator Armor, Storm Bolter, Power Weapon, Drop Pod (270)

Fast Attack
8 Fenrisian Wolves: Cyberwolf (72)

Heavy Support
5 Long Fangs: Heavy Bolter, Missile Launcher, Plasma Cannon, and Lascannon (135)
Land Raider (250)

The plan for this list is to deploy my 10-man Grey Hunter pack on or near the closest objective. Deploy the other Grey Hunter pack in the Land Raider to make it scoring and roll it to the next closest objective while laying down supporting fire. Take the Blood Claws to fight for the next closest objective and have the Wolf Guard drop in with Logan and take one of the furthest objectives.
The Rune Priest will deploy with the Long Fangs and provide supporting fire. The Ven. Dread will accompany the Blood Claws and attract fire. The Lone Wolf will hunt MCs and be a distraction. And the Fenrisian Wolves will help out with contesting objectives or just being a nuisance.

I know I should arm my Long Fangs differently, but that's what I've got. Also, I only have 10 wolves total. My only doubts are whether I should use the Blood Claws or take another Grey Hunter pack in the Rhino, especially since it's not an assault vehicle and whether Logan and the Termies will be able to withstand a round of shooting, since they can't assault the turn they drop in. Any advice is welcome.

If you are not going to take a full 15 I would go with the 2nd Gray Hunters.
For the Rune Priest's 2nd power either Tempest Wrath ot Murdious Huticane.
Run the wolves behined the Dread or the Lone Wolf and you should get them into combat.

Other than that it looks ok to me.

I am a Furry that plays with little Toy Soldiers; if you are taking me too seriously I am not the only one with Issues.

I know its not the most effective way to run Logan, but put him with the longfangs and deploy aggressive since they have relentless. You have a sort of Obliterator squad the way youve armed them, and with Logan, not a lot is going to want to pick a fight. Just a suggestion. Might not even be a good one, but it would catch some people off guard as to how to deal with it.

I don't think this list is much of an improvement from the previous one.

I would definitely dump the blood claws and pick up another grey hunter squad.

You lack serious anti-tank.

The long fangs still require serious work.

Ok, so the consensus is to replace the Blood Claw pack with a Grey Hunter pack, that the Long Fang loadout is not optimum, and that I have humorous anti-tank. I've thought of the Logan/Long Fangs combination, but I feel it's too risky. Maybe with a 4 Multi-melta pack against a tank heavy enemy, but I think I'd rather play it safer.
Are my Termies gonna get killed before they get a chance to do their damage? Should they deploy on turn 1 or be in reserve?
Anybody got any other ideas about how to tweek this list?

This is an odd thought that works with Logan
Keep the 1st Grey Hunters Pack
Replace the Other Grey Hunter Pack and Blood Claw Pack with more Wolf Guard, just Bolt Pistol and CCW with a "Sargent" armed with somthing diferent. it would not be that more expensive and would give you better h2h abbility.
A few Combi-Flamers to replace the Flamers or a few Combi-Meltas
Mabye instead of Rhinos for the WG go with Razorbacks.
This should not force you to change many models.
This will aslo give you acssess to Metla-Bombs for Anti Tank.

You do realize that you can take 5 lascannons in the long fang list as well as a rune priest with living lighting?

With Logan in there that is 5 str10 shots vs vehicles as well as 1d6 str8 shots vs vehicles with a minimum range of 48" and they can split their fire. Put them in cover.

It doesn't get much safer than that. Takes care of some anti-tank issues.

If you think you might be assaulted on your opponent's turn, just give them prefered enemy on your opponent's turn. If you get assaulted (and make your ld10 roll 90% of the time) you get to counter attack. Use Logan's +1 attack and you get:

7 attacks with Logan, hitting anyone on 3's, re-roll misses and generally wounding on 3's.

4 attacks with a Rune Priest, hitting on 4's, re-roll misses and wounding on 4's.

The long fangs will get a total of 20 attacks at marine stats, re-roll misses and wounding on 4's.

That's a buzzsaw someone should think twice about sticking their hand in.

Just because logan makes wolf guard scoring, doesn't mean he needs to run around with them.
