They are practically free, and can be assembled very quickly.

yes, but this is not a head, it has no relativeness to a head, and has never been a head. It is a model of a drop pod.

I think that they look pretty flipping awesome.

They need some more details and other such nicknacks, but they could end up looking really nice.

The website has been changed to include more than one colour!

I'm sorry, but the color isn't what is so unattractive about it. They look like computer games did back in the early nineties: too blocky and not rendered enough. The only thing they share in common with a drop pod is that they have five sides.

the point is...drop pods dont always play a big part in games after they've dropped their troops..
so most people would rather not spend $150 making a drop pod army and instead 5 dollars downloading templates for them.
...you shouldn't be expecting excellent quality if your making it out of printer paper -_-

That's pretty cool. I imagine you could put it on some foamcore to make it sturdier.

I know that, but look at the quality of the templates I posted above. They are a bit more detailed.

Personally when it comes to DP proxies I'm a fan of the plumbing style: http://www.minivault.com/ModelingDropPods.htm Mostly because most of the guys that play at my flgs will let me get away with them. (Although thanks to one friend's irritating little brother who liked to use poker chips as terminators they're getting very strict on proxies. )

But for games with your buddies when stuff is more lax these are excellent! Thanks for the link.

I can see the Blue Drop Pod in a Thousand Sons or other Tzeentch Army, but otherwise... Meh.

There are much better templates around for Scratchbuilding if you don't want to buy the actual model.

These are not 'Scratchbuilding templates' - they are an instant drop pod!

methinks we have someone trying to plug their website and their little idea.

They have their place amongst those who don't want to buy the model or take the time to mock up a proper paper build like the template someone posted here.

I get it, really I do. That being said, I agree that they are rather lackluster compared to what else is available.

This is not my website, the site is owned by 'louis taylor' whoever that is...
I just saw them and liked them, and thought that other people would like to use/have a look at.
I thought that community sharing was what a forum was all about, is this forum an exception? Only allowing the same impregnated ideas to be repeated time and time again with no variation or innovation? Is this what being part of a community about?
