Hey guys tell me what you think. ( for apoc games only) The Predator Vanquisher counts as a Leman Russ Vanquisher.




In their unrelenting hunt for the Fallen, the Dark Angels, have had to adapt to many situations in order to successfully capture their prey. They cannot reveal their secrets to anyone in the Imperium and so must forgo their assistance. The Vanquisher pattern Predator was developed because of this reason. Following years of rumors, the distant planet Vraks, was found to be harboring several Fallen Dark Angels. In order to reach their citadel the Dark Angels would be forced to fight across the barren plains leading to it. The Fallen Dark Angels had anticipated this eventual confrontation and had fortified the traitor guardsmen with weaponry such as Leman Russ Vanquishers made all the more powerful by their knowledge from ages past. The leaders of the Dark Angels determined that the armour of the chapters Predators and the short range firepower of the Vindicators could not stand up to the fire power they faced and so commissioned the Chapters Techmarines with finding a solution that would allow the Dark Angels to reach the citadel and bring these Fallen to their redemption. The Chapters Techmarines worked without rest until finally after many weeks they had successfully developed a tank with heavy armor and the crushing range and power of the Vanquisher battle cannon.

The Predator Vanquisher was also equipped with a pair of Sponsonmounted multi-meltas and a turret-mounted lascannon. Weapons that would prove invaluable during battle in the open plains of Vraks. Unfortunately the battle to capture the Fallen Dark Angels was a failure. The Fallen were able to escape long before the marine battle tanks could break through the traitor guardmen's armoured lines. However the Predator Vanquisher was a success and of the nine created only one did was lost when its track and road wheels had been crushed, but not before knocking out 21 pieces of traitor armour. Following the battle the Master Techmarine, in a move unpopular with the Dark Angel’s Inner Circle, submitted this newly created pattern to the Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars but it has never officially been accepted as a viable variant of the Predator. Thus It is one of the rarest Predators. However in a very few cases other chapters Techmarines have acquired the plans detailed by the Dark Angels Techmarines and have used them to create the Predator Vanquisher for situations that might call for its use.

This is a great thing for apoc games

i'd say yes, but i'd use the STYGIES VIII barrel instead. it looks more sleek and streamlined like the Preditor's turret. just a thought.

i think the gun is way to big for the turret even by 40k standards

naw its fine. pred might be a little unbalanced though!!

The build is quite nice, but I wish you'd write some original fluff. You copied this almost word-for-word from the Land Raider Ares datasheet.

yeah im just not good at fluff writing or else i would if someone can make some fluff up for the data sheet i will photoshop when i am done it would be much appreciated

Happy New years everyone! Well i just ordered the predator up armour kit from forgeworld so that will be the last piece to the conversion but here it is. Sorry the new pics are kinda fuzzy i only had my iphone on me. but let me know what yu guys think.

i think the first turret add on was perfect. i think it's tOo much now.
i do like the concept alot though

I think alarmingrick has the right idea it looks over crowded but besides that it looks good
