Farseer in a Harlequin squad:

Farseer = IC = "Move through cover" (p47, p75 BRB)
Harlequin = Flip Belt = "Ignore terrain"

Flip Belt is wargear, not an USR, but I assume (A) the unit now:
A) moves with only the "Move through cover" regarding terrain, or is it:
B) does it not even get "Move Through Cover" as this is not normally transferred to a unit (USR)? or:
C) would the whole unit ignore terrain now?

And what if only Harlequin models move though terrain? Probably irrelevant as then the whole unit is considered as moving through terrain normally.

B.

The 'Quins do not have MTC, thus the Farseer loses MTC when attached to them.

The Farseer does not have a Flip belt, thus must roll for Difficult Terrain as normal.

The unit always moves at the speed of the slowest model, thus the whole unit is limited to what the Farseer Rolls. Even if only the Harlequins move though the terrain, you still roll for how far the Farseer can move that turn.

In short, don't put them together.

I forsaw this arguement, that why I put option B in there.
However, I cannot find "The unit always moves at the speed of the slowest model" apart from the entry about "Slow and Purposeful", does this apply to all movement restrictions then?

If you apply this, and consider the fact that Halequins don't get the MTC from an IC, by adding the Farseer the Harlequins become the slowest models! How can they become slower then a Faseer while in fact they are faster??

Only way to get them all to ignore terrain is shove the farseer on a jetbike ... but then he can't run and will take a dangerous terrain test instead.

Thanks for the page reference!
So RAW the unit rolls 2d6, pick the highest. Both types of models become slower then they were before they joined. Not logical, but hey

Harlequins are only good at CC.
They don't roll for terrain, so never suffer from disadvantages of assaulting through it (like striking at I1).

Farseers are crap in CC.
Bad idea to combine them.

Yeah I guess so. I wanted to field a doom Farseer. The beforehand chosen option was to put him in a Wave Serpent with Dire Avengers, but I decided that it would be smarter for the Avengers to start in reserve that particular game. I did want to have doom on the table, so he went in with the Harlequins.

Not really, with a witchblade and shruiken pistol has 3 attacks on the charge, which always wound on 2+, and it has S9 vs vehicles, its not a CC machine but its OK. However, i would not put them together, because its a bit awkward, as this thread shows. Ideally they should go with a warlock squad.
