Here is my shadow sword im working on. 50 % complete, just finished weathering with oils. C&C welcome.

On the other hand it is looking quite well and should come out really nice when completely finished!

Also, the 50% that was complete could have included the tacks, so a valid question.

Are you intending to stay with white on the aquillas? It seams that with your basic camo pattern black would be a better choice.

You can see the extra work put in on the weathering, and it's definetly paid off!
I also picked up the FW Masterclass book, and if you are going all-out following those techniques, this is going to end up as a work of art!

Yeah going to go all out and use up all the techniques in the book. Hopefully once ive added the rust dust and mud it tones down the aquilas and ties it all in together . thanks all for your comments. Keeps me motivated

Well just did the rust stage and to be honest im not happy with it at all. Should i strip it back and start again???

I doesn't look too bad, passable as rust, and it's certainly looks better than I could do. A warning about striping, it is going to be extremely, extremely difficult, if not impossible, to strip the rust off without taking other paint with it.

OK have wiped of most of the rust with white spirits and blended it a bit more. Improvement???
