ok so this a small blog for my forays into airfix modelling.
it started when dakka did the whole nittygrittyarmour competition.
i was just a wee bit broke so when i was in a big hobby shop and
i saw the airfix bren gun carrier for a 5er so i bought it painted it and entered.
came tenth so not bad.
anyhow i was in the same hobby shop in the first days of this years january sales.
and i bought a couple more kits.
im hoping to go up in scale with a second bren.

Interesting stuff. Are the sherman tracks plastic as well, or rubber (or similar?)

they are rubber, which is a pain as they are hard to work with.

the snow has meant that i have had time to asemble the main body of the plane and i will post pics tomorrow.

It might be a good idea to paint the inside of the sherman turret if you have the hatch open it jars slightly otherwise. I'd also suggest you don't glue the canopy down on the Defiant. Theres also a rather amusing Commando comic about the Defiants called Upside Down Aces. Great fun it is to.
